SEPTEMBER 21, 2011    LONGORIA AFFAIR HONORED FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN

Reyes Entertainment has won The Digital Public Relations Campaign of the Year for their work promoting, in English and Spanish, The Longoria Affair.  This prestigious award will be given to Gabriel Reyes by the Hispanic Public Relations Association at a ceremony on Oct. 6th at the Conga Room in Los Angeles.

At the annual Imagen awards gala in Beverly Hills The Longoria Afair was awarded Best Documentary in Film or Television.



JULY 21, 2011    EMMY NOMINATION

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

announces that THE LONGORIA AFFAIR has

been nominated for an EMMY AWARD - for

OUTSTANDING HISTORICAL PROGRAM.  This

is Television's highest honor.  THE LONGORIA

AFFAIR is one of only five documentary films in

the entire country to have garnered this coveted

nomination.  Winners will be announced and Awards

will be presented at a gala black-tie dinner on Monday

evening September 26th at Lincoln Center in New York City.

 


JULY 10, 2011    IMAGEN NOMINATIONs will be announced and the Awards will black-tie dinner on

The Imagen Foundation has announced that THE LONOGRIA AFFAIR has been nominated for Best Documentary on Film or Television at the 26th Annual IMAGEN AWARDS, honoring positive portrayals of Latinas and Latinos. The Awards will be presented at a gala black-tie dinner on Friday evening August 12, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. 



FEBRUARY 24, 2011    PREMIO LETRAS DE AZTLAN AWARD

The National Association for Chicana & Chicano Studies and

South Texas College awards filmmaker John J. Valadez with

the PREMIO LETRAS DE AZTLAN AWARD for Outstanding

Contributions to the Chicana/o community through documentary

film.



JANUARY 14, 2011    UNITED STATES STATE DEPARTMENT

John J. Valadez and THE CHICANO WAVE are selected by The

United States Department of State to participate in The American

Documentary Showcase.  Valadez will work with U.S. Embasies

overseas,  travel abroad and screen his film as part of this

government program.
